Flying to NY for Thanksgiving

So, we are getting ready to fly out to NY early Monday morning. It's been a long time since I've flown on an airplane, and now there are a lot of new rules, like 3 oz. bottles in quart size zip lock bags in the carry-ons, and wearing slip on shoes to make it easier to take your shoes off to go through security, and not getting fed on the plane without paying extra...what's up with that? So, Bruce and I are taking only carry-ons, so we don't have to fool around with checking our luggage. I still have memories of our luggage getting lost in Minneapolis about 10 years ago, and we catch a connecting flight in Minneapolis. So, we will travel light, and do laundry and Tom and Amanda's. We went shopping for snacks, and will probably break down and actually buy some water on the plane. Our flight leaves from Denver at 6:30 am on Monday morning, so we will be leaving here about 3 am, that means early to bed tomorrow. Tom and Amanda have lots planned for us. We are excited, and especially excited to spend time with Lucy. There will be lots to write about when we return.
